Overview:
The County Administrator serves as the chief administrator of the County, appointed by the Board of Commissioners and operating at their discretion. The primary responsibilities of the County Administrator include:
- Supervising and Coordinating: Overseeing the activities of all County departments to ensure smooth operations and alignment with the Board’s directives.
- Policy Implementation: Ensuring that all orders and policies set by the Board are effectively executed.
- Advisory Role: Making recommendations on various matters of business and advising the Board on the financial condition of the County.
- Budget Management: Recommending the annual budget and overseeing its implementation.
- Representation: Acting as the County’s representative in business matters with external parties.
- Additional Duties: Performing other tasks as assigned by the Board.
The County Administrator also oversees key departmental functions, including:
